The Department of Cybersecurity Technologies Engineering at the Engineering Technical College, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Division, organized a guidance workshop entitled “From Graduation to the Job Market: A Roadmap for Cybersecurity Female Students” on Monday, 11-5-2026, targeting the department’s female students.
The workshop aimed to raise students’ awareness of the essential steps that contribute to preparing them for professional life after graduation by highlighting the importance of scientific and skills development and building a professional personality capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements in the field of cybersecurity.
The workshop also addressed several important topics, including the importance of developing English language skills, participating in specialized workshops, courses, and conferences, obtaining accredited certifications, as well as preparing a professional CV and enhancing personal and academic skills that contribute to increasing employment opportunities and professional success.
The workshop further emphasized the importance of psychological and academic preparation for students, strengthening self-confidence, and continuing self-learning and development in line with the rapid advancements in technical and digital fields.
This activity comes ضمن the implementation of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), specifically within the Protection Pillar, paragraph (1), concerning “conducting training courses to develop women’s skills,” through supporting and empowering female students and preparing them academically and professionally to face labor market challenges and strengthen women’s roles in technical fields.
The workshop also contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through developing skills and knowledge, and Goal 5 (Gender Equality) by supporting and empowering women in technical fields.
This activity reflects the department’s commitment to supporting and empowering female students, enhancing their active participation in educational and professional environments, and preparing qualified female cadres capable of creativity and excellence in cybersecurity, in light of the distinguished academic and scientific achievements of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
