As part of the scientific activities organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Engineering conducted a field visit to a specialized construction site on February 21, 2026, for first-year students under the supervision of Dr. Eng. Uday Hamza Hammood and Assistant Lecturer Lina Hussein Ali. This visit was organized within the department’s ongoing efforts to connect academic study with practical applications and to strengthen the integration of theoretical and practical aspects of engineering education. During the visit, students had the opportunity to broaden their understanding by directly observing various stages of construction execution and learning about the responsibilities of civil engineers on site, including monitoring structural works and applying quality control and occupational safety standards. The tour also provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience a real working environment and to ask questions about the technical and managerial challenges commonly encountered in construction projects. This activity aimed to develop the professional and field skills of civil engineering students and to prepare them both academically and practically to meet labor market demands and contribute effectively to the development of the construction and infrastructure sector.
