Department of Optics Techniques Organizes a Workshop on Key Human Rights

Under the patronage of the Department of Optics Techniques, a scientific workshop titled “The Key Rights Stated in the Human Rights Platform” was held on Sunday, 3/5/2026, in the Activities Hall. The workshop was presented by the lecturer M.M. Ibrahim Saad Abdul-Kadhim, with the attendance of a group of the department’s academic staff. The workshop addressed the most important rights included in human rights charters and platforms, highlighting the role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of rights and enhancing legal and human awareness among students. This contributes to building an informed society that is knowledgeable of its rights and responsibilities. It also emphasized the importance of integrating human rights concepts within the university environment and their role in reinforcing principles of justice, equality, and respect for human dignity, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 related to Quality Education and Goal 16 concerning Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The workshop witnessed active engagement from the attending faculty members through discussions and interventions that enriched its topics, stressing the importance of continuing such awareness activities that strengthen legal and humanitarian awareness within the academic community. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
