As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to promoting health awareness and community service, the Department of Optics Techniques conducted comprehensive field eye examinations for a delegation of university guests on Tuesday, 5/5/2026. The activity was supervised by the Head of the Department of Optical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Mundhir Sameen Shukr, Dr Gaith Mahmoud along with Assistant Lecturer Muhaimen Samir Aref and Ms. Ghufran Sabah Tuama, using the advanced laboratory equipment and devices available in the department. This initiative was carried out under the guidance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Zahraa Al-Qayyim, and with the participation of the department’s academic and technical staff. The activity aimed to provide integrated vision screening services that contribute to the early detection of visual problems and enhance health awareness related to eye safety. The examinations included a comprehensive assessment of eye health and visual efficiency using approved laboratory technologies and diagnostic devices within the laboratories of the Department of Optics Techniques, reflecting the department’s advanced academic and practical capabilities. Dr. Mundhir Sameen Shukr emphasized the department’s continuous readiness to provide various visual examinations and awareness services in support of university and community activities, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 related to Good Health and Well-being. This activity reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening the role of academic institutions in community service and promoting health and awareness programs within the university campus.
