To enhance the readiness of educational laboratories and prepare equipment for practical applications, and as directed by the Head of the Laboratories Unit, the Maintenance Committee of the Electrical Engineering Technologies Department commenced comprehensive maintenance for the "Air Conditioner and Refrigerator Training System" belonging to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technologies Department. The work was carried out on Monday, May 4, 2026, under the auspices of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi.
The maintenance work highlighted the pivotal role of periodic maintenance in the sustainability of complex educational equipment. The task was executed by Teaching Assistants Ali Naji Radhi and Haider Karrar Hussein. The campaign focused on diagnosing and resolving intricate technical malfunctions, including repairing pressure gauges, replacing power switches and relays, addressing electrical short circuits, and organizing connections. Additionally, technical cleaning and comprehensive calibration were performed to ensure the stability of the system's mechanical and electrical performance.
This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to strengthen scientific infrastructure and highlight the contributions of technical staff toward a sustainable future. It aligns with the university’s strategic vision and quality plans aimed at providing a robust practical learning environment, reflecting the integration between scientific departments and the exchange of technical expertise in laboratory equipment maintenance.
The campaign successfully restored the system to its optimal operational state, with the department reaffirming its full readiness to serve the students of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technologies Department in their upcoming examinations and practical experiments.
