As part of its integrated mentoring activities aimed at developing students' leadership abilities and refining their life skills, the Biomedical Engineering Department organized a specialized workshop entitled "Teamwork and Team Building Skills to Reinforce the Values of Cooperation and Collaborative Work in the University Environment."
About the Workshop:
The workshop was held under the direct supervision of a specialized mentoring team comprised of:
• Assistant Lecturer Zainab Sattar Jabbar
• Engineer Zainab Ali Jabr
• Engineer Hassanein Hadi Hussein
The session aimed to introduce students to the strategic importance of teamwork and equip them with the scientific mechanisms for building successful teams capable of facing academic and professional challenges with high efficiency.
Methodology:
The workshop adopted an interactive training approach, which included:
• Highlighting the skills of cooperation and role distribution, with an emphasis on the principle of individual and collective responsibility to enhance trust among team members.
• Developing effective communication skills within the team and encouraging a spirit of initiative and collective innovation to achieve common goals.
• Providing practical applications and simulations to help students improve their performance within teams and develop their ability to interact positively, including It contributes to creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic success and personal development.
The workshop witnessed lively interaction, with participants emphasizing the importance of these skills in shaping the character of the biomedical engineer, whose future work relies primarily on integration with various medical and technical teams.
