The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “Dental Care During Pregnancy is Safe and Important,” held at the College of Dentistry building hall on 29 April 2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry and a distinguished group of faculty members, as part of continuous education requirements. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zaid Muhannad, who highlighted the importance of maintaining oral health during pregnancy, emphasizing that dental care during this period is both safe and essential for the well-being of both mother and fetus. He also addressed key physiological changes that may affect oral health in pregnant women and methods of preventing common conditions such as gingivitis and dental caries and provided practical guidance on proper oral hygiene and daily care practices. The workshop witnessed active scientific engagement from attendees, with several questions and discussions that enriched the session and enhanced its academic value. This workshop comes as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness, develop faculty competencies, and advance medical knowledge in alignment with continuous education standards.
