As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of education and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Optics Techniques Department is conducting field examinations for color blindness among college students. This activity is carried out on Sunday 3/5/2026 under the direct supervision of the teaching staff and closely monitored by the Head of Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Munther Sameen Shukr. This activity aims to assess and develop the capabilities and skills of Optics Techniques students by training them to perform color blindness examinations using approved laboratory materials and equipment. This contributes to strengthening their practical abilities and enhancing their scientific competence in the field of visual examinations. The activity also provides a practical learning environment that helps bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on application, which positively reflects on students’ preparedness and qualification for the labor market in optical and medical fields. The department emphasizes that these initiatives are part of its strategy to prepare specialized and qualified professionals capable of delivering high-quality services to the community, in alignment with sustainable development requirements and in support of the role of educational institutions in serving society. This activity reflects the department’s commitment to delivering advanced, practice-based education that fosters innovation, elevates academic performance, and strengthens students’ professional readiness. Al-Mustaqbal University ranks first among private universities in Iraq.
