As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of education and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Optics Techniques Department is organizing a field-based scientific activity on Sunday 3/5/2026 involving the implementation of practical examinations within the medical building. This activity is conducted under the direct supervision of the teaching staff and closely monitored by the Head of Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Munther Sameen Shukr. This activity aims to develop students’ practical skills by training them to perform field optical examinations, with a particular focus on how to assess polarization using the latest devices and approved techniques in this field. It also provides an applied learning environment that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical experience, thereby enhancing students’ competencies and preparing them for the labor market. The Head of Department أكد that these initiatives come within the department’s strategy to advance students’ scientific and practical capabilities in alignment with sustainable development requirements, and to prepare qualified professionals capable of delivering high-quality optical services to the community. This activity reflects the department’s commitment to delivering advanced applied education that fosters innovation, elevates academic performance, and strengthens the role of educational institutions in serving the community and achieving sustainable development.
