Safety and warning signs were installed in the Engineering Technology Laboratories within the Department of Communications Engineering on 2/5 (May 2, 2026) at the Engineering Technology Laboratories, aiming to enhance occupational safety procedures and promote preventive awareness among students during practical laboratory experiments.
The activity included distributing and fixing awareness posters that illustrate safe handling instructions for communication devices and equipment, in addition to highlighting and marking hazardous areas inside the laboratories. This contributes to reducing potential accidents and ensuring a safe and well-organized educational environment.
The activity was implemented under the supervision of Lecturer Hiba Ali Khazal and Assistant Lecturer Ayat Iyad Hussein, who emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of safety among students and adhering to approved laboratory guidelines, as this plays a key role in maintaining everyone’s safety and ensuring the smooth conduct of the educational process.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), by promoting a safe and supportive learning environment for practical education.
