Empowering Women Through Education as a Pillar for Achieving Sustainable Development in Society

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit / College of Arts and Humanities / Department of Archaeology, organized an awareness campaign presented by Assistant Lecturer Ria Naseef Jassim, titled: “Women and Education: The Key to Sustainable Development” on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. This campaign aims to highlight the importance of women’s education and its role in achieving sustainable development within society. It also seeks to raise awareness of the impact of empowering women through education in improving economic and social aspects. The campaign focuses on clarifying the role of educated women in building conscious generations capable of facing challenges. Additionally, it discusses the أبرز obstacles facing women’s education and ways to address them. Finally, it encourages support for initiatives that enhance educational opportunities and active participation of women in various fields of life. This initiative comes in implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security / Prevention and Protection Pillar, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 5: Gender Equality).
