The Legal Advisor at the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, Dr. Arkan Al-Hamdani, who is one of the lecturers at the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, delivered a scientific lecture on Saturday, 25/4/2026, at Al-Salam University College in Baghdad, in cooperation with the Afaaq Al-Adalah Foundation for Legal Support. The lecture addressed the topic of (Cyber Fraud Crime). The lecture discussed the main issues related to criminalizing this type of crime, and highlighted the legal and technical tools capable of detecting perpetrators and limiting its spread, in light of the increasing challenges associated with cybercrimes in the digital age. The speaker emphasized that strengthening legal awareness, along with developing deterrent legislation that keeps pace with technological advancement, constitutes the main line of defense against this growing phenomenon, stressing the importance of integrating legal and technical efforts to reduce its negative impact on society.
