College of Health and Medical Technologies at Holds Industrial Advisory Council Meeting to Align Education with Labor Market Needs The College of Health and Medical Technologies at held a meeting of its Industrial Advisory Council on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at its campus in Baghdad. The meeting was conducted in line with the directives of the , aiming to align educational outcomes with labor market requirements and enhance academic performance with a stronger practical focus in health-related disciplines. The meeting was attended by academic leaders and representatives from the health sector, including the Dean of the College, , the Scientific Assistant, , and , Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Technologies. The meeting also included heads of academic departments, representatives from healthcare institutions, hospital directors, as well as representatives of medical device companies and private-sector pharmaceutical suppliers. The discussions focused on mechanisms to develop academic curricula in line with the latest advancements in health and laboratory technologies, with emphasis on strengthening students’ practical and applied skills and aligning educational outcomes with labor market demands. The participants also explored expanding cooperation in training, qualification, and knowledge exchange with health and industrial institutions. The attendees further highlighted the importance of building effective partnerships between academic institutions and labor and production sectors to prepare qualified graduates capable of meeting market demands efficiently, while opening broader career opportunities for students across various health specialties. In addition, the meeting underscored the vital role of rehabilitation and physical therapy disciplines in supporting the healthcare system and emphasized the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, in line with the college’s efforts to establish sustainable strategic partnerships that keep pace with rapid developments in the health sector.
