Community Health Technologies Department Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Legal Protection of Women from Domestic Violence

The Community Health Technologies Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop on Sunday, April 26, 2026, entitled: “Legal Protection of Women from Domestic Violence in Iraqi Law”, held in Hall (301) at the college building, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, and attended by a number of academic staff and students. The workshop aimed to highlight the legal aspects of protecting women from domestic violence, promote community awareness of women’s rights, and clarify the role of legal frameworks in addressing this issue. The workshop included specialized scientific lectures delivered by academic experts: Dr. Hassan Jabr Al-Taie (Public Law Philosophy) Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Hamza Aidan (Criminal Law) It also addressed several key topics focusing on the legal framework for protecting women under Iraqi legislation, mechanisms to reduce domestic violence, and enhancing legal awareness among students. The workshop witnessed active engagement from attendees through scientific discussions that enriched the topic and encouraged the exchange of perspectives on legal solutions. This workshop comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to promote legal and social awareness and strengthen the role of academic institutions in serving the community.
