The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Recovery Organization, held an awareness seminar on Saturday, 25/4/2026, titled “Prevention of the Risks of Addiction”, in the College of Law halls at the Humanities Building. This activity comes as part of the college’s efforts to promote health and social awareness among students and to enhance a safe university environment.
The seminar was delivered by Mr. Hossam Abdul Auda, a member of the administrative board of the Recovery Organization. During his lecture, he highlighted the major risks of addiction and its negative impacts on individuals and society, as well as methods of prevention and the importance of promoting students’ health and psychological awareness.
The seminar addressed several key topics, including the definition and types of addiction, factors leading to its spread, its health, psychological, and social effects, in addition to the role of families and educational institutions in reducing and addressing this phenomenon.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of addiction, develop healthy behaviors, strengthen their intellectual and psychological resilience, and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle away from negative influences, contributing to building a more aware and responsible academic community.
