Discussion of a Graduation Research on Dental Anomalies at the College of Dentistry

The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University witnessed, on 18 April 2026, the discussion of graduation research entitled: “Dental Anomalies: Clinical Features, Radiographic Patterns and Previous Studies." supervised by Assistant Lecturer Noor Fathi Kadhim, in the presence of a distinguished group of faculty members. The research was presented by the students: Abbas Abdulrazzaq Noor, Ali Amjad Khudhair, Ali Yahya Jadou, Abbas Sabah Abdul Kareem, Hassan Ihab Kadhim, and Sadiq Abdulhaleem Reshan. The study addressed dental anomalies in terms of their clinical features and radiographic patterns, along with a review of relevant previous studies. The research highlighted the various types of dental anomalies, their possible causes, and their impact on oral health, with a particular focus on the importance of early diagnosis through clinical examination and modern radiographic techniques, given their significant role in improving treatment planning and clinical outcomes. The discussion session witnessed active scientific engagement, during which the research was thoroughly discussed and several questions and comments were raised by attendees, contributing to enriching the study and enhancing its academic value. At the conclusion of the session, the research supervisor, Assistant Lecturer Noor Fathi Kadhim, praised the students’ efforts and their outstanding work, commending the organization of the research and the accuracy of the information presented. He emphasized that such studies contribute to developing students’ diagnostic and research skills. He further noted that the importance of this research lies in addressing a significant topic in dentistry, raising scientific awareness of dental anomalies and their management, and enhancing the quality of clinical education and research within the college.
