During this week, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, participated as part of a high-level ministerial delegation in an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The delegation was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abd Dhahad, with the aim of enhancing academic cooperation and activating scientific partnerships between the two countries. The visit focused on developing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and elevating the level of scientific research. It included several important stops, including Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University, where ways to achieve scientific integration and exchange academic expertise were discussed to support the educational journey in both nations. The tour also included monitoring joint postgraduate programs with Mansoura University, where the success of the cooperation in the Master of Laws program was reaffirmed. Both sides discussed expanding partnerships into modern disciplines and overcoming challenges faced by researchers. The visit further witnessed meetings at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss mutual recognition mechanisms and scientific twinning programs, alongside supporting initiatives that improve global university rankings. In the context of promoting international scientific publishing, the delegation explored the latest publishing technologies using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and discussed ways to support the presence of Iraqi research in global journals. Additionally, the delegation visited digital transformation projects at Mansoura University.
