Forensic Evidence Department Organizes a Workshop Titled "Violence Against Women: Causes, Prevention, and a Safe Future" in Cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division

The Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, organized a scientific workshop titled "Violence Against Women: Causes, Prevention, and a Safe Future," delivered by Ms. Waqar Jaffat Jassim on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The workshop targeted students of the department from both genders and was held in the Humanities Building – Hall (307). This workshop was organized to enhance community awareness of issues related to violence against women, highlighting its causes and impacts, as well as shedding light on prevention methods and the importance of building a safe environment that protects all members of society, without limiting the focus to females only. The workshop addressed several key topics, including the concept and forms of violence, contributing factors, and legal and social mechanisms to reduce it, while emphasizing the importance of awareness and education in building a safer and more stable society. The session witnessed active participation from students of both genders through questions and discussions that enriched the workshop, reflecting their interest in the topic and their commitment to developing their social awareness. The lecturer emphasized the importance of joint academic and societal efforts to reduce violence, empower individuals, and promote a culture of mutual respect, contributing to a safe and stable future.
