The Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked among the leading private universities in Iraq, organized a scientific workshop on April 20, 2026, in the Organic Chemistry Laboratory. The workshop was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Alaa Salman Hamza and attended by 27 first-year students. The workshop included practical experiments on the detection of alcohols using Lucas reagent to differentiate between primary, secondary, and tertiary alcohols. In addition, a sugar estimation experiment was conducted using a spectrophotometer, where theoretical concepts were applied in a hands-on laboratory setting. This workshop aimed to enhance students’ practical skills, bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and develop their laboratory analysis capabilities. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq
