Professor Dr. Amjad Hamid Majid, Head of the Business Administration Department at the College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University, held a specialized and interactive workshop on Monday, April 20, 2026, titled “Managerial Art: When Mismanagement Leads to Global Hunger,” targeting third-year students in the department.
The workshop took place in the halls of the Business Administration Department, where it addressed the ethical and human dimensions of management. Dr. Amjad explained how poorly considered or failed managerial decisions can lead to economic and social disasters that ultimately result in the spread of hunger and poverty. He emphasized that management is not merely rigid theories, but rather an “art” that requires wisdom and responsibility toward society. The workshop also included open discussions with students about the role of a successful manager as a safeguard for economic stability.
The workshop witnessed wide and distinguished attendance from third-year students, who actively engaged with the philosophical and managerial perspectives presented. They highlighted that linking management to people’s livelihoods deepens their understanding of the importance of their field in the future.
The workshop aims to instill awareness of social responsibility among future leaders and to highlight the human dimensions of the management profession. This activity is part of a series of initiatives through which the department seeks to build students’ leadership character and connect academic knowledge with global realities and contemporary challenges.
Through this initiative, the Business Administration Department at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to present innovative educational visions that go beyond traditional curricula to address major human issues.
