In a vibrant artistic scene, the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University inaugurated its specialized exhibition, "Innovative Spaces." The event embodied a contemporary vision that merges artistic creativity with environmental awareness through student works that reflected a significant evolution in sustainable design thinking. The exhibition was opened in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munther Fadhil, representing the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, alongside the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, and the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mazin Hadi. They were joined by a group of professors, staff, and students in an academic celebratory atmosphere that emphasized the importance of supporting creative initiatives with environmental dimensions. The exhibition is based on utilizing sustainable materials to produce innovative artworks, relying on the Bas-Relief sculpture technique, which allowed students to express their visions in a style that combines simplicity and depth while achieving efficiency in resource use. The materials used varied between recycled plaster, natural wood, and clay, as well as industrial waste that was re-processed to transform into artistic works carrying aesthetic value and an environmental message. On an artistic level, the works demonstrated an advanced understanding of the relationship between mass and space, with clear attention to the balance of elements and degrees of protrusion, reflecting maturity in practical performance. The works were also characterized by the use of natural colors and eco-friendly pigments, adding a visual harmony that enhances the concept of sustainability without compromising the aesthetics of the composition. The exhibits ranged from decorative works to professional sketches and drafts, providing a rich visual experience that reflects the students' spirit of innovation and experimentation. In this context, the exhibition emerged as an educational and practical platform that promotes a culture of recycling and establishes a responsible design awareness that keeps pace with contemporary environmental challenges. This event confirms that art is no longer merely an aesthetic expression; it has become an effective tool for spreading environmental awareness and consolidating sustainability values, contributing to the preparation of a generation of designers capable of achieving a balance between creativity, function, and social responsibility....Almustaqbal University, The First University in Iraq.
