As part of fulfilling the requirements of institutional and programmatic accreditation and in activation of the Industrial Advisory Council’s activities, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled “Strategic Planning and How to Develop a Strategic Plan” on Monday, 20 April 2026, at the College of Dentistry hall. The workshop was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry and Chair of the Advisory Council, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, and in cooperation with the Babylon Health Directorate and the Dental Association as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships with healthcare and professional institutions. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ajrash, director of the Training and Human Development Center and a member of the college's Advisory Council. He addressed key topics related to the concept of strategic planning, its importance in the development of academic institutions, and the practical steps for designing an effective strategic plan that meets quality and accreditation standards. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ leadership and administrative skills, as well as to strengthen their capabilities in developing strategic plans that align with modern trends in higher education and contribute to achieving institutional excellence. The college deanship emphasized that organizing such workshops reflects its ongoing commitment to improving academic and administrative performance and to strengthening collaboration with relevant institutions in a way that supports the college's academic and professional mission. The workshop witnessed the attendance of a distinguished group of faculty members, staff, specialists, and interested participants in an interactive academic atmosphere that fostered the exchange of expertise and the advancement of knowledge in the field of strategic planning.
