Al-Mustaqbal University Expands International Cooperation Through Joint Workshop with Mansoura University

As part of the Fourth International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop in cooperation with Mansoura University titled: “International Academic Partnerships as a Gateway to Achieving Sustainable Development: Leading University Experiences from Iraq and Egypt.” The workshop reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange, in support of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 17 related to partnerships. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, with participation from a group of academics from both Iraq and Egypt. The workshop addressed the role of academic partnerships in advancing scientific research, promoting innovation, and exchanging expertise between universities, in addition to presenting practical experiences in sustainability within higher education institutions. The sessions included scientific presentations delivered by Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, Eng. Khalid Al-Salih from Al-Mustaqbal University, and Dr. Mohamed Osama Ragih from Mansoura University, while the sessions were chaired by Prof. Dr. Iman Abdel Aziz. The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the importance of expanding joint academic programs, enhancing collaborative research, increasing student and faculty exchange opportunities, and leveraging digital transformation to strengthen university partnerships. Through such initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to expand its international presence and reinforce its role in supporting higher education and sustainable development.
