An awareness campaign on the importance of cybersecurity and its role in supporting sustainable development was launched at Al-Mustaqbal University on April 13, 2026, with the participation of students from the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department. The campaign aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of cybersecurity in protecting data and digital systems, and to highlight its vital role in achieving sustainable development goals by supporting secure digital infrastructure and reducing cyber risks that affect society and institutions. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), by promoting a culture of digital security within the university environment. The initiative reflects the efforts of the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department in spreading technical and community awareness and underscores the leadership of Al-Mustaqbal University as the leading private university in Iraq in adopting impactful scientific initiatives.
