An awareness campaign on the importance of recycling electronic components and their role in supporting sustainable development was launched at Al-Mustaqbal University on April 13, 2026, with the participation of students from the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department. The campaign aimed to enhance students’ environmental and technical awareness regarding the reuse and recycling of electronic waste and the reduction of its negative environmental impacts, as well as highlighting its role in promoting innovation and conserving natural resources. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Goal 13 (Climate Action), by encouraging sustainable practices within the university environment. The initiative reflects the efforts of the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department in promoting community and technical awareness, and underscores the leadership of Al-Mustaqbal University as the leading private university in Iraq in adopting impactful scientific and environmental initiatives.
