The Head of the Department of Optics Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mundhir Sameen Shukr, participated in the International Forum of Creativity and Innovation, held in cooperation with the Department of Research and Development, the University of Al-Hillah, the University of Al-Kut, and Al-Mashreq University, on Wednesday, 15/4/2026. The event was attended by a distinguished group of researchers and innovators from various academic institutions, as part of supporting the ninth Sustainable Development Goal (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Dr. Mundhir’s participation resulted in a remarkable scientific achievement, as he was awarded the Medal of Creativity along with a certificate of appreciation, in recognition of his research efforts and scientific contributions in the field of innovation and development. His patents also received praise and appreciation from the representative of the Prime Minister and the representative of the Minister, due to the innovative scientific ideas they presented, which have practical applications in the medical and optical fields. These innovations focused on developing an advanced method for the examination and treatment of patients with nystagmus, contributing to improving visual performance and enhancing patients’ quality of life, reflecting the level of scientific advancement pursued by the department in applied research fields.
