The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radhi, Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, and Teaching Assistant Shams Saleem Abbas) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, titled: "Risks of E-Cigarettes and Prevention Strategies," under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi.
The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of health awareness, focusing on providing educational information about the dangers of vaping and its negative effects on the lungs, heart, and general health. It reviewed effective guidelines for prevention and quitting this habit, aiming to foster a preventive culture and build a healthy university environment based on solidarity and cooperation.
This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance social responsibility and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future. This aligns with the university's strategic vision and the "Sustainability Week" events, reflecting a commitment to developing the moral and cognitive awareness of all staff and students while establishing a culture of healthy living and prevention of harmful habits.
The campaign, which included the distribution of brochures and specialized short lectures and workshops, underscored the university's efforts in supporting community initiatives and saw great interaction from students and staff in understanding the individual's role in maintaining public health and strengthening human bonds and health awareness within the campus.
