The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign under the supervision of (Asst. Lecturer Salwan Saud Hatif, Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radhi, and Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, titled: "Electrical Safety Awareness to Reduce Risks and Accidents," under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi.
The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of preventive awareness, focusing on providing educational information about the optimal use of electrical energy and reviewing procedures to reduce the risks of short circuits and accidents. It encouraged adherence to occupational safety standards to foster a preventive culture and build a safe university environment based on solidarity and cooperation.
This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance social responsibility and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future. This aligns with the university's strategic vision and the "Sustainability Week" events, reflecting a commitment to developing the moral and cognitive awareness of all staff and students while establishing a culture of protection and public safety.
The campaign, which included the distribution of brochures and specialized short lectures and workshops, underscored the university's efforts in supporting community initiatives and saw great interaction from students and staff in understanding the individual's role in reducing accidents and enhancing safety measures within the campus.
