As part of the Sustainability Week activities and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the University's Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. ​The campaign, titled "Rights of Persons with Disabilities to Equality and Non-Discrimination," was held under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radhi, and Asst. Lecturer Zahra Ibrahim). ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of social and cultural awareness, focusing on providing educational information about the importance of respecting the rights of persons with disabilities. It emphasized promoting equality in various educational and social fields and explored ways to prevent discrimination, aiming to foster a preventive culture and build an inclusive university environment based on solidarity and cooperation. ​This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance social responsibility and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future. This aligns with the university's strategic vision and the "Sustainability Week" events, reflecting a commitment to developing the moral awareness of all staff and students while establishing a culture of justice and equality. ​The campaign, which included the distribution of brochures and specialized short lectures and workshops, underscored the university's efforts in supporting community initiatives and saw wide interaction from students and staff in spreading awareness about the individual's role in supporting the rights of persons with disabilities and achieving ethical balance within the campus. ​Al-Mustaqbal University..
