The Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, held a Women Empowerment Committee meeting as part of Future Sustainability Week activities on March 13, 2026, at Al-Mustaqbal University.
The meeting addressed key challenges faced by female students within the department and worked on proposing practical solutions to improve their academic environment and enhance their participation in academic activities. It also evaluated the level of women’s empowerment by examining their involvement in scientific and research activities and assessing their role across various academic fields.
The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the need to further support female students, provide a more motivating educational environment, and encourage active participation in scientific and technical activities.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), contributing to strengthening women’s roles in academia and promoting inclusivity and sustainability.
