The Department of biology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, titled “Baath Crimes, Forced Displacement, and Human Rights.” The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Assistant (M.M.) Raed Jawad Kadhim for second-year students in the Humanities Building, as part of the department’s scientific activities.
The workshop addressed major violations committed by the former regime, particularly those related to forced displacement and their impact on society. It also highlighted the concepts of human rights and their importance in building a society based on justice and fairness.
During the session, the lecturer emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of human rights among students and raising their awareness of recent history and the violations it witnessed, contributing to the development of a conscious generation capable of protecting rights and freedoms.
The workshop also focused on the importance of adhering to humanitarian and legal principles, as well as the role of educational institutions in spreading human rights awareness and strengthening ethical values within society.
The workshop witnessed notable engagement from students through questions and discussions, reflecting their interest in topics related to human and rights issues.
