As part of the Sustainability Week activities and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the University's Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. ​The campaign, titled "The Importance of Tree Planting and Its Role in Protecting the Environment," was held under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radhi, and Asst. Lecturer Bushra Majid). ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of environmental awareness, focusing on providing educational information about the strategic importance of trees in purifying the air, reducing pollution levels, and providing natural shade, as well as their essential role in improving the climate. This aimed to foster a preventive culture and build a green university environment based on solidarity and cooperation. ​This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance social responsibility and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future. This aligns with the university's strategic vision and the "Sustainability Week" events, reflecting a commitment to developing the environmental awareness of all staff and students while establishing a culture of afforestation and nature conservation. ​The campaign, which included the distribution of brochures and various awareness activities, underscored the university's efforts in supporting community initiatives and saw wide interaction from students and staff in spreading environmental awareness and enhancing a sense of responsibility toward nature within the campus. ​Al-Mustaqbal University..
