The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled Radiation Protection on 7 April 2026 at the College of Dentistry building hall. The workshop was delivered by assistant lecturer Noor Fathi, in the presence of the dean of the College of Dentistry and a distinguished group of faculty members, as part of the continuing education program requirements.
The workshop aimed to show how important radiation protection is in medical practice, especially in dentistry, and to discuss the risks and effective ways to reduce exposure by using approved safety protocols.
The session covered several key scientific topics, including the principles of radiation protection, types of radiation exposure, methods of dose reduction, and the safe use of radiographic equipment in dental clinics.
The workshop also witnessed active engagement from attendees through scientific discussions that facilitated the exchange of knowledge and expertise, positively contributing to the enhancement of participants’ academic and professional performance.
The College Deanship emphasized that organizing such workshops reflects its commitment to supporting continuing education programs, promoting a culture of occupational safety, and keeping pace with advancements in the medical field, thereby contributing to the improvement of academic and professional standards among faculty members.
