Established Al-Mustaqbal University Department of Archaeology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities held a scientific workshop titled “The Relationship Between the Arabs and China” on April 5, 2026, at the Humanities Building, presented by Dr. Ali Farhan Zweir, as part of its academic activities aimed at enhancing students’ historical and cultural awareness. The workshop addressed the nature of historical relations between Arabs and China, reviewing the paths of commercial and cultural exchange through the Silk Road, and highlighting the role these relations played in the transfer of knowledge and sciences between the two civilizations across different historical periods. It also shed light on the key historical milestones that shaped this civilizational interaction, emphasizing the impact of geographical location in strengthening connections between East and West, as well as discussing aspects of cultural convergence between peoples. The workshop witnessed the attendance of a number of faculty members and students, who actively contributed through questions and discussions, enriching the academic dialogue and broadening perspectives on the importance of historical relations between nations.
