Under the patronage of Al-Mustaqbal University President Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, Al-Mustaqbal University announced the opening of an agricultural research station on campus, coinciding with National Tree Planting Day, in a move that reflects its commitment to promoting applied scientific research and supporting sustainable agricultural development. The station was established under the supervision of the Office of the President, with the aim of conducting applied studies and field experiments that contribute to the development of agricultural production and the efficient use of natural resources. The station serves as an advanced scientific platform that bridges the gap between theory and practice in the agricultural sector. The station is responsible for designing and conducting agricultural experiments based on rigorous scientific principles, including crop variety improvement, evaluation of modern agricultural technologies, soil and water management, as well as pest and plant disease control, and the development of sustainable farming systems. It also relies on statistical designs and advanced research methodologies to ensure the accuracy of results and their applicability in the field. The station comprises a range of specialized research units, including experimental fields, greenhouses, and laboratories dedicated to soil, water, and plant analysis, as well as units for seed propagation and plant breeding. During the opening ceremony, the university president, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, emphasized that the establishment of this station represents an important strategic step in the university’s journey toward harnessing scientific research to serve society and enhance food security.
