The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, inaugurated two specialized modern laboratories in the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Department of Optometry, on February 22, 2026. This was part of the university's efforts to enhance the applied dimension and reinforce practical training concepts among students. The opening included the Optical Prosthetics Laboratory, which focuses on practical training in the field of ocular prosthetics, particularly the fabrication of cosmetic artificial eyes. It aligns with the latest scientific developments and contributes to the development of students' technical skills and enhances their professional competence. Additionally, the Pediatric Ophthalmology Examination Laboratory was inaugurated, which is dedicated to training students in clinical examination techniques and early diagnosis of vision disorders in children, emphasizing the importance of prevention and early detection in improving healthcare quality and fostering evidence-based practices. The inauguration ceremony featured practical applications by fourth-year students on real cases. The university president expressed his pride in the outstanding level demonstrated by the students, who exhibited high skills and advanced professional performance.
