Among the scientific and research achievements added to the accomplishments of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Future University, is the publication of a research paper by Dr. Alaa Mohammed Hussein Wais, a faculty member in the department, entitled: "HEAT TREATMENT OPTIMIZATION ON THE WEAR BEHAVIOR OF A LOW STEEL NI-B-CNT ELECTROLESS COATING ALLOY" in the International Journal of Nanoelectronics and Materials, which is indexed in Scopus Q4. This study addressed the optimization of heat treatment processes to enhance the corrosion resistance of nickel-boron coating alloys reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and prepared using electroless coating on low-carbon steel. The study aims to identify the optimal heat treatment conditions that ensure maximum durability and minimal surface corrosion, thus opening new horizons in the development of medical implants and biomechanical components that require precise abrasion resistance specifications within complex operating environments.
