Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rawthan Al-Muhtaram, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, headed by Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, Head of the Unit, delivered a scientific lecture on drugs entitled: “The Role of Educational Institutions in Reducing the Phenomenon of Drug Abuse.” The unit also prepared an awareness brochure on “Drugs,” in addition to designing several awareness posters that were distributed to the students of the college. The event took place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Hall 505, Fifth Floor, Humanities Building. The presentation included the participation of Asst. Lecturer Hussein Al-Shammari, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the college, as well as Asst. Lecturer Shadan Salah Shubber from the Department of Quranic Sciences, who discussed the linguistic and etymological meaning of the word “drugs.” Additionally, Asst. Lecturer Al-Hassan Ali Rawthan, Head of the Legal Affairs Unit at the college, spoke about “Drugs in Iraqi Law.”
