The regular meeting of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit was held on Monday, November 17, 2014, at the College of Education at 10:00 a.m. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Thanaa Baha Al-Din, Head of the Unit and Head of the Counseling Committee in the Department of Psychology, and attended by the members of the counseling committees: Assistant Lecturer Dr. Karim Ash‘oush from the Department of English, Assistant Lecturer Shadan Salah from the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, as well as members of the counseling committees and academic advisors from the college departments.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the mechanism for implementing the college’s counseling plan in order to achieve the objectives of the counseling process in supporting students academically and psychologically, facilitating the educational process, developing their personalities, and raising their academic performance.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Professor Ahmed Al-Jundi, the esteemed Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, who provided valuable remarks to enhance student counseling efforts and strengthen cooperation between departments and coordinate efforts to implement qualitative activities that contribute to improving university counseling services. He also emphasized the importance of intensifying guidance campaigns and utilizing academic expertise to achieve the goals of the unit.
