Consultant Surgeon Dr. Walaa Nouri Majeed chaired the examination committee for the research thesis submitted by Ali Abdul Ali Al-Taie, an Arab Board candidate in General Surgery, entitled: “The Effect of Previous Bariatric Surgery on the Technical Difficulty of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.” The examination was held in the Main Hall of Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital. The committee consisted of Consultant Surgeon Dr. Walaa Nouri Majeed as Chair, Consultant Surgeon Dr. Majid Mousa Al-Khafaji as a Member, and Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Fadhil Al-Rubaie as a Member. The session included a scientific presentation and an in-depth discussion of the research topic, its main aspects, and findings. The committee provided a number of scientific observations and recommendations to enhance the quality and accuracy of the research. Following the discussion, the committee approved the thesis subject to minor revisions. This academic examination reflects the importance of supporting scientific research and specialized medical training, while strengthening the academic and professional development of Arab Board candidates in surgical specialties.
