The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University held a dialogue seminar on Saturday, 7 November 2026, entitled “Criminal Liability for the Misuse of Social Media,” delivered by Lecturer Dr. Ali Hamza Nimrud, with the attendance of a number of college faculty members and students. The seminar addressed the legal aspects of social media misuse and the criminal liability arising from unlawful acts committed through these platforms. It also highlighted the main forms of cybercrime and violations that may occur through publishing, commenting, and sharing information, as well as their legal consequences. The seminar witnessed active participation from attendees, who raised several questions, inquiries, and contributions that enriched the discussion, encouraged the exchange of views, and enhanced legal awareness of the responsible use of social media. This seminar comes as part of the College of Law’s commitment to promoting legal awareness among students and addressing contemporary legal issues associated with digital and technological developments.
