As part of strengthening the role of academic institutions in supporting sustainable development and serving the community, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majid, Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, attended the activities of the Fifth Future Sustainable Cities Forum, held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, under the slogan "The University in the Service of the Community", under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid. The participation of the Dean of the College of Engineering reflects the College's commitment to supporting scientific and engineering initiatives that contribute to addressing urban and environmental challenges, strengthening integration among engineering disciplines, academic institutions, and executive bodies, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. The forum featured scientific sessions and specialized workshops addressing renewable energy, smart electrical grids, and the application of modern engineering technologies in developing sustainable cities and improving quality of life. It also discussed green investment opportunities and challenges related to energy and infrastructure. This participation reaffirms the scientific and community-oriented role of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, as well as its commitment to strengthening scientific partnerships and contributing innovative engineering solutions that serve the community and support the development of more sustainable cities.
