Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment, securing first place among private Iraqi universities and third place among all Iraqi universities, both public and private. The University was also ranked within the 101–125 band among Arab universities in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2027, announced on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. This achievement comes within a ranking that included 369 participating Arab higher education institutions, of which 269 universities received ranked positions, reflecting the level of academic and research competition among higher education institutions across the Arab region. Academic and Research Performance Indicators Al-Mustaqbal University recorded results across the five main performance pillars adopted by the ranking, with the following scores out of 100: Research Quality: 60.6 International Outlook: 59.6 Industry: 19.1 Research Environment: 14.5 Teaching: 12.3 These results reflect the University's performance in scientific research, international collaboration, teaching and research environments, as well as engagement with the industrial sector, in accordance with the methodology adopted by Times Higher Education. On this occasion, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, expressed his pride and appreciation for this achievement, affirming that the University's first-place ranking among private Iraqi universities, third place nationally, and position within the 101–125 band among Arab universities represent the outcome of sustained institutional efforts, joint academic and research contributions, and a firm commitment to quality and excellence in higher education. He added that this achievement serves as an incentive to further develop academic and research performance and strengthen the University's international presence.
