In a Practical Embodiment of the "Impact Makers" Initiative: Electrical Engineering Techniques Department Organizes a Scientific Workshop Led by a Student for His Peers on Timers and ATS Circuits In a vivid embodiment of the "Impact Makers" initiative and its vision to nurture young student talents, the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques organized a specialized scientific workshop delivered by student Hussein Ali Ahmed to his second-year peers. The workshop was conducted under the supervision and guidance of the teaching staff: Teaching Assistants Mustafa Mohammed Hassan, Murtadha Abbas, Ali Naji, and Haider Karrar Hussein. The workshop highlighted the topic of Timers, covering their types, operational mechanisms, and vital role in controlling the time sequencing of electrical circuits. It also provided a detailed examination of one of the most critical practical applications of timers: Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) circuits, explaining their fundamental role in ensuring seamless power supply continuity and enhancing system efficiency. The session featured an engaging academic atmosphere that allowed students to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications in their field, alongside active discussions and knowledge sharing. This experience also contributed to refining the presenter’s academic and leadership skills in organizing and delivering technical content clearly and effectively. The organization of this workshop underscores the department’s dedication to promoting Peer Learning and encouraging student-led initiatives that foster knowledge exchange and build a stimulating educational environment—positioning students as the main drivers of progress and true Impact Makers in their academic and societal journeys. Al-Mustaqbal University...
