As part of its commitment to strengthening the university's role in community service and promoting architectural awareness, second-year students from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Future University conducted a practical field visit to Al-Khansaa School, under the supervision of Ms. Nada. The visit followed a previous theoretical awareness session and aimed to transform architectural concepts from academic knowledge into a practical and interactive experience within the school environment. The visit featured the practical application of students' projects through the presentation of design ideas and architectural solutions related to school spaces and the built environment. This contributed to raising school students' awareness of the importance of architectural design in shaping the educational environment, as well as the role of spatial organization and functional and aesthetic considerations in creating a comfortable school environment that encourages learning. The experience also provided architecture students with an opportunity to apply their design knowledge in a real-world setting, develop their communication and practical skills, and strengthen their sense of the architect's responsibility towards community needs. This activity is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through supporting practical education, promoting awareness of the built environment, and strengthening cooperation between universities and schools. Future University – Ranked First Among Private Universities in Iraq.
