As part of the scheduled programming and practical training, Monday, November 2, 2026, featured a continuation of practical sessions for the "Neural Computing" course, conducted in the Python programming language for third-year students. The sessions were led by Dr. Abdul-Kadhim Abdul-Karim, with assistance and practical instruction provided by teaching assistant Noor Hassan Obeid. The lecture focused on the practical implementation of Bidirectional Associative Memory (BAM) networks. Students were guided through the step-by-step process of building and programming the algorithm within the Python environment. The training covered storing and retrieving vector data patterns, calculating weight matrices, and testing the network's efficiency in recognizing noisy or incomplete patterns—all of which help students understand the operational mechanisms of artificial neural networks and their advanced applications. The continuation of these sessions reflects the department’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that bridges theory and practice. This approach ensures that students are equipped with the essential skills to keep pace with the rapid advancements in the fields of artificial intelligence and technology.
