Published a new scientific book titled Foundations of Digital Communications: Theory, Solved Problems and MATLAB Laboratory by Assistant Professor Musaddiq Maher Abdul-Zahra, a faculty member at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University. The book addresses the fundamental principles of digital communications, including information transmission, coding, modulation, and detection techniques. It also presents mathematical analyses, engineering applications, and solved problems that help clarify scientific concepts and deepen students’ practical understanding.
The book aims to provide an integrated academic resource that combines theoretical foundations with engineering practice, helping students specializing in communications, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and electronics understand digital systems and their operating mechanisms. It also supports self-learning and the development of scientific and professional skills among students, graduates, engineers, and researchers.
The book was published in its first edition in 2026 by Al-Riyahin Publishing and Distribution House. It carries the International Standard Book Number (ISBN: 978-9922-5648-8-3) and was registered under deposit number (5656) for 2026 at the Iraqi National Library and Archives in Baghdad.
This academic achievement contributes to supporting scientific research and academic publishing, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). It also reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment, as the number one private university in Iraq, to supporting the scientific contributions of its academic staff and strengthening its academic and research standing.
