As part of its commitment to internationalization and expanding global academic partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated Erasmus Days 2026 on 15 October 2026, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of university leadership, academic staff, and students. The celebration featured an informative workshop delivered by Ms. Elaf Salah Mahdi, Head of the Erasmus+ Office at Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighting the key opportunities offered by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme and its role in empowering students, academic staff, and researchers through international mobility, skills development, and academic and research partnerships with European universities. The workshop also explored how European educational initiatives can contribute to institutional capacity building, knowledge exchange, and the development of sustainable international partnerships, supporting the university’s vision of a more globally connected and competitive academic environment. Held under the Erasmus Days 2026 theme, “Learning and Growing: Skills for Tomorrow,” the event emphasized the importance of investing in knowledge, digital competencies, and professional skills to prepare students and academic staff for emerging global challenges and opportunities. This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of moving beyond awareness of international opportunities toward actively empowering its academic community to benefit from them. Through continued engagement with Erasmus+ and European higher education institutions, the university aims to strengthen its international presence, foster a culture of academic cooperation, and create broader opportunities for learning, innovation, and sustainable global partnerships.
