As part of the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting young talents and developing students’ technical and practical skills, a hands-on workshop was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, under the supervision and management of the Head of the Department, Dr. Rami Qais. The workshop focused on utilizing the Python programming language in cybersecurity and ethical hacking. The event featured a live demonstration of the SentinelAI project, showcasing methods for developing fast network scanning tools using asynchronous programming with asyncio, detecting security vulnerabilities and missing security headers in web servers, and employing artificial intelligence technologies, including Gemini AI, to analyze risks and generate security reports that support security assessment and defensive remediation. The workshop also demonstrated how to export final reports in HTML format and design interactive interfaces to present findings in an organized manner. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting practical learning and technical skills development, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by encouraging innovation and the development of technical solutions. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their appreciation for Dr. Rami Qais’s continued support for scientific and innovative initiatives, which contributes to preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and keeping pace with rapid developments in cybersecurity.
