On Monday, 26 October 2026, the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University held elections for the second-year student representative in the college’s lecture halls. The elections were attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Walaa Louay Al-Falouji, the election supervisory committee, and several faculty members.
The elections were conducted in an organized and transparent academic atmosphere, providing students with the opportunity to exercise their right to elect a representative for their academic year. The elected representative will convey students’ opinions and suggestions and follow up on their academic needs, thereby strengthening communication between students and the College Deanship, contributing to the development of the educational environment, and ensuring a better response to students’ requirements.
The initiative aimed to promote a culture of active student participation and develop leadership, dialogue, communication, and teamwork skills. It also sought to encourage initiative and a sense of responsibility, while engaging students in university life and fostering the development of well-rounded individuals who can express their opinions in a responsible and constructive manner.
The significance of these elections lies in their role in strengthening institutional belonging and a sense of shared responsibility, preparing students to assume future leadership roles, and establishing a positive relationship based on cooperation and mutual understanding between students and the academic administration. These efforts contribute to creating a university environment that encourages participation, creativity, and excellence.
This event is part of the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to support meaningful student activities and develop students’ personal and leadership skills alongside their scientific and academic excellence. These efforts align with the university’s vision of preparing medical professionals equipped with the scientific knowledge, professional skills, and human values necessary to serve the community.
